Telehealth Video Appointments

Brain Health

What is Telehealth or Virtual Appointments?

The consultation portion of your neuropsychological evaluation can be done without leaving your home. If you have a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or computer at home with video capabilities, you can communicate with your provider much like you do when you come into the office.

What do I need in order to have a Telehealth or Virtual doctor's appointment?

For a Telehealth or virtual appointment you will need:
-An email address
-Internet connection at the location where you will have your virtual appointment.
-A smart phone, computer, laptop, or tablet (such as Ipad) with a camera. The camera does not need to be an attachment to your device. It can be the camera that came in with your device. Most of these devices come standard with a built in camera.                                                                                   -You will need a quiet, private space, free from distractions where you can speak with your provider.      -If you have hearing difficulties, you should have handy a pair of headphones, such as the set that comes with your phone. It should easily plug into your computer or tablet to amplify the sound at a comfortable level.

The testing portion of your assessment will be done at our office at a separate appointment.

How does a Telehealth or Virtual doctor's appointment work?

1. Dr. Strada will schedule you for a virtual appointment and send you an email confirming your appointment.

2. You will then receive a second notification asking you to complete registration forms and assessment questionnaires needed for your appointment via a HIPPA compliant server. There is nothing for you to dowload or print.

3. Plan to spend at least 45 minutes to 1 hour completing the online assessment forms and registration form well before your appointment. Dr. Strada reviews your information before your appointment to be prepared to discuss your concerns with you.

4. The morning of your appointment, you will receive a link via text and email to join your appointment.

5. Click on the link at the time of your appointment.

If Dr. Strada does not see you connected, she will reach out to you to help you log in.

6. You will then have your appointment talking and seeing Dr. Strada on the screen much like you normally do in an in-person visit.
